Certificate in Corporate Training (RPL)
CPD Accredited (50 credits) | Study online | Approx. 15 hours
This is a shortened version of the Certificate in Corporate Training as it recognises the learning included in the Level 3 Award in Education and Training (formerly PTLLS). This means that learners who hold or are currently enrolled on the AET/PTLLS can gain additional knowledge in the context of workplace training, which is typically not covered in the more generic AET/PTLLS qualification.
Learn how to consider organisational training needs, through a training needs analysis (TNA) and demonstrate value through return on investment (ROI) or non-financial return on expectation (ROE) to create compelling business cases and management reports. With practical advice on how to monitor and measure your results against department key performance indicators (KPI’s).
You will be asked to complete a declaration to confirm your prior learning before purchasing the course.
By the end of the course, learners will be able to:
- Carry out a training needs analysis to determine organisation training needs
- Calculate return on investment (ROI) and explain return on expectation (ROE)
- Produce KPI’s suitable for monitoring training department performance
- The Teaching Cycle (included for recap)
- Individual and Group Learning Needs (ILN/GLN) (included for recap)

This course is aimed at trainers, instructors or training managers who have previously gained the Level 3 Award in Education and Training, or Level 3 Award in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Sector (PTLLS), or similar. As these qualifications are generic and usually in the context of working in further education colleges, this course provides additional content that a workplace trainer would find a useful addition.
Learners must have previously gained the Level 3 Award in Education and Training, or Level 3 Award in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Sector (PTLLS). Other similar qualifications will also be considered as an alternative.
Learners must have access to the internet to access the content
