The Level 3 Award in Education and Training (RQF) formerly known as PTLLS, has been designed to introduce teaching for individuals who aspire or currently work in adult education. This includes FE colleges, training providers, workplace training departments and/or Local Authorities. It is a nationally recognised qualification and is also often the preference for employers to source as an accredited train the trainer qualification. It is recognised by the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) as an acceptable qualification to become a CAA certified trainer.
This version of the course has been further developed to meet the requirements of the IATA Train the Trainer syllabus with additional aviation related content, our course is aligned with IATA AHM1110 11.2 (GEN10). This course can also be used to meet the standards of IS-BAH IG 8.1.6.
In addition to our extensive online resources, learners will receive our resource pack by post, which includes:

- Printed copies of assignments and session plan templates

This qualification is assessed by a portfolio of evidence which must cover all assessment criteria of the units selected. Assessment methods include:
- 3 x written assignments.
- A micro-teach session
- Self-evaluation
This version of our Level 3 Award in Education and Training (RQF) has been specifically designed for those who intend to train, or are currently training within the aviation industry, or teaching aviation related subjects in a further education college. It may form part of the application process to become a CAA certified security instructor.
