You can start this course today and complete it remotely at your own pace. You will be assigned a tutor who will be available to support you through completion. You can complete it in as little as a two weeks or take up to 12 months.
The Level 4 Award in Understanding Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (RQF) qualification is intended for those who need knowledge of IQA principles and practices, or carry out basic desktop based IQA activities with no direct access to assessors.
Learners undertaking this qualification will be able to understand the principles and practices of internally assuring the quality of assessment.

Duration
Complete in a couple of weeks, or take up to 12 months. Typically, distance learning students complete this course within 3 months.

Assessment
This qualification is assessed through completion of a written essay.
Suitability
Who should do this course?
This course will not normally be considered a full IQA qualification, however it is useful for anyone who needs an understanding of IQA principles and practices, and it can be upgraded by adding other units at a later date.
Pre-requisites
Learners must be aged 19+ years to enrol on this course and be able to carry out quality assurance activities on at least two assessors or trainers, each with at least two learners.
Certificate
Upon successful completion, learners will receive an externally accredited PDF certificate from a nationally recognised and Ofqual-regulated awarding organisation.Â
If you prefer a hard-copy certificate, you can print it yourself or order a printed certificate for an additional fee.
