The Level 4 Award in Understanding the External Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (RQF) qualification is intended for those who maintain the quality of assessment from outside an organisation or assessment centre, usually on behalf of an awarding organisation.
Learn about the principles of external quality assurance, such as the function of external quality assurance and the role of an external quality assurer (EQA), also known as an external verifier (EV). This is a knowledge-based qualification, and is an ideal progression for Internal Quality Assurers (IQAs).

Suitability
Who should do this course?
This course is an ideal progression route for experienced IQAs. It is useful for anyone who needs an understanding of EQA principles and practices. Typically, this knowledge based qualification is sufficient to secure work as an EQA with an awarding organisation. Additional units can be added later, if required.
Pre-requisites
Learners must be aged 19+ years to enrol on this course. Experience and knowledge of Assessment and Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) is essential. It is strongly recommended that EQA candidates hold a recognised assessor and IQA qualification before enrolling on to this qualification.
Certificate
Typically, within 14 days of successful completion, learners will receive an externally accredited PDF certificate from a nationally recognised and Ofqual-regulated awarding organisation.
